Madison County Conservation District is providing free pollinator plants to county residents during National Pollinator Week, June 21, 2021. Pollinators are essential to the producing of food we eat. Less pollinator habitat has increased the need to plant new pollinators for birds, bees and butterflies to pollinate plants.
Four pollinator plant species will be available: Anise Hyssop, Purple Coneflower, Catmint and Yarrow. The free plants can be picked up at the Berea College Forestry Outreach Center near Berea. Additional information can be obtained by calling 859-756-3155, or by email forestryoutreach.berea.edu or email@example.com.
